Our Bar Program, Licensing & Insurance

Park Avenue Catering has a Type 83 General On-Sale (full bar) Catering License and a Type 58 Caterers Permit
to provide alcohol for events.

This allows us to provide and serve alcohol at event locations throughout CA.

Permit applications must be submitted 30 days prior to each event, and are subject to approval by the ABC (Alcohol Beverage Control). 

PAC will apply for a permit only if we are providing the alcohol for an event.


We do not apply for a permit when clients, a winery, or other venue provides the alcohol.

PAC carries $1M liquor liability insurance.

We offer full bar, fermentation bar, beer and wine options for our clients. This is priced per person.
Additional costs may include: permit fee, bartenders, glassware, bar tools, chilling tubs, bar furniture, linens, heaters, lighting, bar set ups, umbrellas & additional ice.

At certain locations, clients are able to provide

their own alcohol.

We always follow the rules and policies of the venue. 

Due to liability reasons, we do not provide estimates for alcohol quantities. We suggest you utilize beverage calculator from either The Knot or BevMo for guidance. 

Every group is different, and your guests’ choices and quantities consumed are influenced by many factors. This may include weather, time of day & personal preferences.
While the beverage calculator is a useful tool, there are other factors involved. You should adjust as needed.

Bar Requirements

In order for our bars to function effectively, and ultimately provide the best experience for our clients, we follow the following guidelines in terms of the guest count, number of bars and amount of space needed. 

We require shade (umbrellas/tenting if in direct sunlight during event set up & event time) and heaters/rain protection as the seasons dictate.

Venue Bar Requirements

    • 2.5 wine glasses to cover dining and bar

    • 1.5 water glasses

    • 1.5 champagne flutes if offering toasts tableside, with extra for the bar

    • 1-1.5 double old fashioned glasses (signature drinks or full bar)

    • 1-1.5 highball glasses 

    • .33-.5 martini glasses (unless it is for a signature drink, then follow the specs from above)

    • .5 pilsners

    • .75 welcome beverage glasses of your choosing

Responsible Hospitality Policy

Regardless of who provides the alcohol (Client/Winery/Park Avenue) our team is required by law to adhere to all ABC (Alcohol Beverage Control) laws and policies. In addition to this, we have our own Responsible Hospitality Policy that all clients are required to sign.
